Windrush Mural

The Windrush mural was a two week long Commission for the Tate exchange floor in Tate modern. This work was in response to previous collaborations with a Rotterdam based Gallery ‘TENT’. The TENT x Tate project focused on two cities, their cultural output, and what culture meant to the young collective of people that came from those cities. We experienced our cultures, similarities and differences while responding to it in the space. This was ongoing for 3 years and came to a close in February 2021. The mural was displayed on Three pillars to tribute those who came before us. A metaphorical reminder that these people are our foundation.
